Answer: When choosing landscape fabric, it is important to consider the type of fabric, the weeds to be controlled, installation and maintenance. Woven fabrics are thicker, but may allow weeds to push through, while spunbound fabrics prevent more weeds from penetrating. Some weeds, such as dandelions have thick, tough weeds, and may be able to penetrate some fabrics. When installing fabrics, follow the manufacturers instructions and be sure to cover the entire area.
